On the afternoon of May 22, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung chaired a press conference to inform about the 2nd Ho Chi Minh City River Festival, taking place from May 31 to June 9. This year's festival has a larger scale and organization space than last year, with the goal of becoming a "city that never sleeps" destination, a city of events attracting domestic and foreign tourists.
The series of activities takes place in 4 main locations in Ho Chi Minh City, including Khanh Hoi port, Nhieu Loc - Thi Nghe canal, Tau Hu - Ben Nghe canal and District 7; Connected to Nguyen Hue walking street, Thu Duc City riverside park. Of these, there are 22 activities associated with Ho Chi Minh City's rivers and waters.
The highlight of the festival is the special art program "Storytelling River" season 2 with the theme "Legendary Train", taking place at 8:00 p.m. on May 31 at Nha Rong wharf area, attracting about 1,000 people. actors and 9,000 attendees.
Many water sports activities also take place such as demonstrations of water motorbikes, parasailing, sailboats, sailing boats, stand-up paddleboards; parade activities on the river, space recreating the Western floating market...
